Students have returned to Grand Valley State University in record numbers. Roughly 6,300 are calling the Allendale campus home. That’s up 150 students from last year. With year-over-year enrollment increasing, GVSU has opened a new learning and living student.
Grand Valley State University broke ground on its $37 million Holton-Hooker Learning and Living Center in September 2015. Today the 135,000-square-foot building consists of 240 bedrooms housing 500 students. The four story, multi-purpose building includes three classrooms, a computer lab, study spaces, laundry, game room and faculty offices. There’s adjacent outdoor recreational space, too.
The Holton-Hooker Learning and Living Center also displays 200 artworks that GVSU President, Thomas Haas, says “is a reflection of the diversity and multiculturalism within Grand Valley's campus culture.”
