Man accused of murder, abduction faces 3 new felony charges

A 46-year-old western Michigan man under investigation in the disappearance of a gas station clerk has been charged with video surveillance of girls.

The Muskegon Chronicle reports a court magistrate signed an arrest warrant Wednesday for three felony counts against Jeffrey Willis.

It comes the day a judge ordered Willis to trial in the 2014 slaying of a female jogger.

Prosecutors say the new charges pertain to video recorded by Willis but wouldn't provide more details.

Defense attorney David Kortering didn't immediately return a call seeking comment.

Willis of Muskegon Township also was charged in April with kidnapping a 16-year-old girl.

The girl told investigators she escaped from Willis' minivan.

Authorities also are investigating Willis in the 2013 disappearance of then-25-year-old Jessica Heeringa from a Norton Shores gas station.
