A Michigan Goodwill store is set to reopen about a year after it was destroyed by a tornado.
WOOD-TV reports that the Goodwill of Greater Grand Rapids in Portland, located about 25 miles northwest of Lansing, will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the reopening on June 25.
The store was struck by an EF-1 tornado June 22, 2015.
The new 10,000-square-foot store has an additional 4,000 square-feet that will house a career center.
MLive.com reports that Portland Mayor James Barnes said many of the homes and buildings damaged by the tornado have been repaired or rebuilt over the last year.
An estimated $3.3 million in damage was caused when 132 buildings in the city were destroyed or damaged by the tornado.
No injuries were reported in Portland.
