The Muskegon Community College campus briefly closed on Wednesday morning to conduct a pre-planned lockdown drill.

Campus officials say it ran from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

The college says participants included MCC and Grand Valley State University campus police, the Michigan State Police and multiple local and county law enforcement agencies.

Students and employees also participated.

Officials say the drill was part of ongoing crisis prevention training efforts.
