Trustees for Ferris State University have given approval to add a doctorate of nursing practice and an associate degree in brew management.
The Grand Rapids Press reported Monday that the doctorate program is designed to take three years and be online and part-time. Students would start enrolling in fall 2017.
According to the university, an industry need is expected to be met by the new associate degree of applied science in professional brew management. Paul Blake, provost and vice president for academic affairs, says the degree will "provide entry into one of the fastest-growing segments of the restaurant industry."
