The co-chair of the task force named by Governor Rick Snyder to look into the Flint water crisis says a lot of the problems started at the very top.
Former Republican legislator Ken Sikkema says Governor Snyder set up an executive organization that restricted the flow of vital information that could have averted the Flint water crisis.
“It’s a risky management style.”
But Sikkema also says he’s seen improvements since January.
Sikkema was on the Michigan Public Television show “Off The Record.”
Sikkema also called for changes to add more checks and balances to Michigan’s emergency manager law, which he says has become –quote- “dictatorial.” That’s a recommendation the governor has yet to embrace.
