Six felony charges are expected against a man accused of shooting his girlfriend, robbing a store and hitting a cop car.

Authorities say Theodore Little shot his girlfriend on Thursday morning and later robbed a Kentwood business, stole a vehicle, hit a police car and led officers in a car chase near downtown Grand Rapids.

The 35-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening just before 6 p.m. after hitting a tree during the car chase, near the John Ball Park Zoo.

Police say a gun was found at the scene.

The Kent County Prosecutor’s office authorized a six-count felony warrant for Little on Friday.

Court records list additional charges that include others tied to the robbery, and those carrying an habitual offender status.

Little is currently held at the Kent County Correctional Facility.
