After 75th House District defeat Edmonds goes to work for Kasich

mlive.com

Republican Blake Edmonds says while he lost the race for the 75th District House seat, it was a positive campaign and he ran on the issues.

He tells WGVU the campaign was about what was best for the people of Grand Rapids.

From the Kent County GOP Primary Watch Party, candidate Blake Edmonds conceded to Democrat David LaGrand.

“I offered him any help or assistance he might need going forward to which he seemed very receptive. We care about a lot of the same issues and those issues don’t have to have a party. Issues like urban education and criminal justice reform those are issues that need to be dealt with and they need to be dealt with in a real way because they effect the families of Grand Rapids.”

What’s next for Edmonds? A trip to Ohio Wednesday where he’ll begin working for New Day for America which is the committee supporting Governor John Kasich.
