Separate threats to two Michigan schools close buildings Monday

A school district in Livingston County is closed because of an online threat.

Officials in the Howell district say it's better to keep students at home Monday while state police investigate a threat against the schools, which was posted on Twitter.

Spokesman Tom Gould tells WHMI it's not known if the threat is credible.

Howell has 7,200 students in 10 schools.

Meanwhile, Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo is also closed because of an unspecified threat.

Officials don't believe the threat on social media is credible.
