Carson schedules Michigan campaign stop Wednesday

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson plans to campaign in Michigan on Wednesday.

The retired neurosurgeon has scheduled an afternoon town hall event at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center in Ypsilanti. It is the same day that Republican candidate Marco Rubio will campaign in Oakland County.

Carson last visited Michigan in September, when he spoke at Spring Arbor University near Jackson. He grew up in Detroit.

Michigan's presidential primary election is March 8.
