On Veterans Day a Grand Rapids-based medical devise and service provider announced its commitment to deliver the best possible healthcare to military veterans.
The Patriot Promise is dedicated to identifying veteran health care gaps and finding solutions.
“Whether it’s finding the highest technology available for the medical health care community or identifying proactive ways to treat mental health, especially focused on post-traumatic stress.”
Alliant Healthcare Products’ owner and CEO, Bob Taylor, is a U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve veteran. With a background in medical device development and government contracting, the mission of the Patriot Promise and the Patriot Promise Foundation is to work with the Veterans Administration identifying areas of need.
“What we’ll do is we’ll identify the needs are within the V.A. where caregivers want new technology. And also look out into the market and see where technology is available but it’s not getting through. When we can identify those gaps we’ll just work to connect the dots.”
A number of medical manufacturers are partnering with the Patriot Promise Foundation.
“There’s not a day that goes by that it’s not on our mind of what we can do to improve the health care of these veterans. That’s one of our driving points that every day is Veterans Day.”
