The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is expected to release results of its review of the troubled municipal water supply in Flint by the end of this week.
Regional administrator Susan Hedman of the Environmental Protection Agency said in a letter Tuesday to U.S. Rep Dan Kildee of Flint that she was asked by the head of the federal agency to carry out the review that the lawmaker requested last month. The Flint Journal
reports that Kildee asked for a review of the agency's oversight of state programs assuring safe drinking water in Flint.
Hedman's letter said the agency will conduct a review of action taken by the city to address problems with the quality of its drinking water.
