A video that includes comments by a Detroit-area abortion rights advocate is among the secretly recorded videos recently posted online by a conservative blogger who wrote that he got the footage from a congressional source.
Northland Family Planning Centers founder Renee Chelian is heard discussing difficulties disposing of fetal tissue due to a Michigan law requiring the remains to be incinerated, cremated or buried. She says she had "five months' worth of fetal tissue" in freezers when a company announced it would no longer accept them.
The video was taken in 2014 and is among others posted on YouTube by the conservative GotNews.com website.
The National Abortion Federation obtained a court order against public release of the footage and is asking a top House Republican to investigate the leak.
