Davenport University in Michigan is partnering on a health care education project designed to help members of the U.S. military get medical training.
The partnership involves the San Antonio, Texas-based Medical Education and Training Campus, a Department of Defense education facility. A two-day visit by a Medical Education and Training Campus official starts Monday at Davenport's Grand Rapids campus.
A partnership agreement between the educational institutions also is being signed.
Davenport has a Veterans Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, designed to help veterans and inactive military service members pursue and attain a nursing degree, pass a licensing exam and get a job. The program allows many to speed their nursing training.
