A pair of dingoes is now on display at a zoo in Battle Creek after being transferred from Fort Worth Zoo in Texas.

The male and female dingoes, Yango and Airlie, arrived Tuesday at Binder Park Zoo.

Fifth-grade students from Gordon Elementary School in Marshall were the first visitors to see the animals on exhibit Wednesday afternoon.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that the kids were invited to observe the zoo's latest arrivals as part of its Big Zoo Lesson Wednesday program.

During their trip to the zoo, the students watched the dingoes settle into their new home, an enclosure which previously held bald eagles.

Binder Park Zoo offers its weekly program to local students in third through fifth grades.
