Nine people have been arrested after police responded to noise complaints at a western Michigan house party.

Grand Rapids police say Sunday that about 100 people were at the Saturday night gathering which featured a light show, bon fire and loud music.

Among those arrested was a woman who lived at the house.

Police say she refused to lower the music and tell partiers to leave. She began to pull away from officers attempting to arrest her on charges of creating and permitting a disturbance.

Eight other people were arrested after interfering with officers trying to handcuff the woman.

A Taser was used on one person.

State police and officers from Kentwood and East Grand Rapids were among more than 35 officers called to the home.
