Police say a 6-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in the hand after finding a gun in an unlocked Battle Creek apartment.
Police say the shooting happened Thursday night. The Battle Creek Enquirer reports
officers say the boy, who lives in the building, was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Officers are investigating the circumstances that allowed the boy into the apartment of the gun owner, who doesn't have any children.
