Regional trucking company Holland has opened the doors of an expanded, 65,000 square-foot shipping terminal in Wayland.

The company announced the $11 million expansion and move from its former Wyoming terminal last year. The move is expected to increase efficiency as well as operational staff.

A Holland spokesperson says the new 110-dock, 23-acre campus triples available yard size and allows for future growth.

Holland is a unit of transportation company YRC Worldwide.

The company says the service center, which opened on August 14, currently has 265 employees.

The 48,790 square-foot building also has an additional 16,000 square-foot maintenance facility.
