Wedgwood Christian Services is hosting a free educational event at Wealthy Theater in Grand Rapids Thursday at 6:30 Thursday called “The Story You Don’t See: See How It Starts; Change How It Ends.”
“It will be an interactive experience with our audience. They’ll kind of be able to lead a story and how it goes along then we’ll also have the opportunity to hear from a panel of experts.”
Kori Thompson is the Community Advancement and Development Officer at Wedgwood.
She says the free event is ideal for front-line medical workers, school employees, church staff, and is open to the public.
It’s part of Wedgwood’s month-long effort to share stories and information during January’s Human Trafficking Prevention Month.
“We really want to raise awareness around the issue of human trafficking and give people an understanding of not only how complex it really is but more of a realistic understanding of how it may be taking place and how subtle and manipulative it can be,”
Resources, tip sheets, a podcast link and event registration can be found on the Wedgwood website.
