Chick-fil-A opening soon on congested Alpine Avenue

Wikimedia Commons

The Alpine location is the sixth in west Michigan since the first location opened in Gaines Township near M-6 in 2017

The new Chick-fil-A is replacing the old Golden Corral restaurant on Alpine Avenue. And Walker city commissioner Steven Gilbert says that should be a good location.

“I think this lot is about as good a spot as you can find along Alpine Avenue for the Chick-fil-A.”

The new Chick-fil-A includes two lanes for take-out with space for 70 vehicles to line up. If it is like other Chick-fil-A’s the Alpine Avenue location will be a busy dining destination. But Chick-fil-A’s Leslie Accardo tells the Walker Planning Commission the staff can handle it:

“This is something they have been working out in all their different locations and it is working really well. So, if people get frustrated if they can’t get through quickly or they are stuck that Is not going to be a good thing for them.”

The new Chick-fil-A on Alpine Avenue is the second in Walker, and the now the sixth in west Michigan since the first location opened in Gaines Township near M-6 in 2017. The Alpine Avenue branch opens next Thursday.

“This is about as good a location as you can find for the types of traffic it can attract.”
