This year marks the 28th year for the annual University of Michigan Health-West Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park’s Christmas and Holiday Traditions Exhibition.
A news releases says guests from around the world visit Meijer Gardens to take in 46 trees and displays representing countries and cultures from across the globe.
Each winter, Meijer Gardens transforms into a botanic wonderland with fresh evergreen displays. Volunteers donate hundreds of hours to decorate trees and set up displays. Indoors and out. Officials says the grounds will be lit with 350,000 lights.
Officials says new this year is the Seasonal Light Experience. It’s an immersive audio and visual lightshow happening in the Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater.
Steve LaWarre, Vice President of Horticulture at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park says “This year we’re showcasing traditions from around the world that incorporate light into their holiday celebrations,” he adds, “The brand new Seasonal Light Experience at the Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater is another can’t-miss experience that’s sure to bring joy to our guests.”
The Holiday Traditions exhibit kicks off on November 22nd and will run through January 8th of 2023.
