Saturday marks the return of the Eighth Street Indoor Farmer’s Market in downtown Holland with some new vendors

From January to April, the downtown Holland Farmer’s Market moves inside the Holland Civic Center, giving shoppers a warm place to purchase fresh fruits, veggies, and other local goods. Kara de Alvare, marketing director for the market says that, along with over 25 of their regular vendors, shoppers can expect to find some unique, items.

“We have meat and eggs, fresh seafood, ready-to-eat foods like dumplings and soft pretzels, fresh-pressed bottled juices, flavored peanut butters. It’s really a wide variety. We have a new hot sauce vendor and then a new vendor that is selling cakes by the jar.”

The Holland Farmer’s Market takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of the month from January through April at the Holland Civic Center. De Alvare recommends bringing cash for your purchases, but some vendors do accept credit and Bridge cards, and parking is always free. More information can be found at HollandFarmersMarket.com
