To Muskegon County, and in the 92nd district, Democrat and incumbent Terry Sabo (Say-bo) Tuesday beat Republican and Challenger Michael Haueisen by roughly two-thirds of the vote with all precincts now reporting.
“This is a very important position to be in, and I am thankful the opportunity to serve in it, but it also brings along high expectations…people expect me to represent them to the best I can; and I am definitely up to the task,” Sabo told WGVU.
Sabo, 51, a retired firefighter and U.S. Air Force security officer, was first elected as a state representative in 2017.
Sabo previously served on the Muskegon County Board of Commissioners from 2013-16, and as its chairman beginning in 2015.
