Amplify GR, a local non-profit committed to working with community partners to aid residents in the 49507 zip code, recently announced it will continue its “Amp the Good” grant.

“So, if you live in the Oakland square, Madison square, then this program is for you”

That’s Latesha Lipscomb, Engagement and Relationship Manager at Amplify GR. And the program she’s talking about is called, “AMP The GOOD”.  It’s a grant that funds initiatives supporting projects that build connections and relationships within the 49507 zip code.

“So we really want to make sure neighbors have an opportunity to AMP up the good for themselves neighborhood themselves. In the past, we’ve supported everything from Kwaanza celebrations to block parties; we’ve supported afterschool programming.

The grant program launched in 2018 and has funded more than 40 neighborhood-based projects that strengthen the health, safety and economy of the local community.

“We really believe that this is the opportunity for people to be the change in their own neighborhood.”

Applications are open now thru December 31st.  Lispscomb says you’re encouraged to apply if you have a project. Grants range from 100 dollars up to a thousand dollars.
