Gerald R. Ford International Airport

January’s snow storm and Polar Vortex were not enough to keep Gerald R. Ford International Airport from recording breaking month for passenger travel.

January picked up where 2018 left off for passenger traffic at Gerald R. Ford International Airport. A record 3.26 million passengers passed through its concourse last year and it was more of the same to begin 2019.

It was the busiest January ever at the 55-year old airport with more than 257,000 passengers served. GFIA says that’s seven percent growth year-over-year.

It’s anticipated passenger records will continue to fall with Allegiant adding three new non-stop destinations to Sarasota-Bradenton, Nashville and Savannah-Hilton Head.
