Michigan State University wants to improve communication among its medical colleges and clinics.

School officials announced a restructuring at the school today.

The school plans to make two new appointments. They’ll provide oversight to the colleges and clinics. The idea is that these new positions will points of communication among the colleges to help them learn from each other and utilize resources.

John Engler is the current interim president. He says he wants to create a uniform standard to ensure that no matter where a student goes for help, they’ll have safe and quality care.

“There’s no question that we’re going to be challenged to be very bold. Be very creative. And to go frankly where no one has gone before.”

Engler says there will be more announcements about changes to MSU’s health services in the near future.
