A national fraternity says it has revoked the charter of its University of Michigan chapter following an investigation into alleged hazing. Zeta Beta Tau International Fraternity announced Tuesday that its Supreme Council voted to revoke the charter at the Ann Arbor school after it determined that members were violating a number of fraternity policies, including those that prohibit hazing.

A student-run council at the University of Michigan says fraternity social events will resume after being suspended following allegations of sexual misconduct and hazing involving fraternity members. The Interfraternity Council says in a statement Wednesday that the self-imposed suspension allowed it to "conduct an extensive review ... to identify the policies and practices needing improvement within the community." 

Grand Valley State University in Michigan has banned a fraternity chapter from campus for at least five years after an investigation into hazing and alcohol use. The school in Allendale says an investigation after the 21-year-old Sigma Phi Epsilon member was treated after consuming too much alcohol revealed student code violations for hazing and consumption of alcohol

A student-run council at the University of Michigan has suspended fraternity social events following allegations of sexual misconduct and hazing involving fraternity members. The Interfraternity Council said in a statement forwarded by the Ann Arbor school that the suspension approved Thursday will allow council members to "immediately begin the process of assessing our policies and practices" and develop "a formal plan going forward." 

Officials say a fraternity at Grand Valley State University in Michigan has been shut down following multiple drug and alcohol violations. The national Delta Upsilon organization announced Thursday that the violations took place during the last 18 months. Executive Director Justin Kirk says in a statement that "we hold our members and chapters to a set a standards" that the school's chapter couldn't sustain.
