A 48-year-old western Michigan woman has been arrested in the death of her husband who was shot five times in their Ensley Township home.
WOOD-TV and MLive.com report Thursday that Glenna Duram is charged with first-degree murder.
Martin Duram was slain in May 2015.
Glenna Duram had a head wound, but survived.
Martin Duram's ex-wife has said she believes his pet parrot, Bud, is repeating something said just before the shooting.
Christina Keller now owns Bud. She has told WOOD-TV that the parrot has repeated "don't (expletive) shoot" in Martin Duram's voice.
Newaygo County Prosecutor Robert Springstead has downplayed whether testimony from a parrot could be used in court, and said that he wasn't aware of any legal precedent for that.
Court records show no attorney listed for Glenna Duram.
