If you didn’t already know, Michigan is a fun state, especially in the summer. In fact, financial website, WalletHub has it ranked in the top 20 “most fun” states in America.
With summer just around the corner and over two-thirds of Americans planning to take a vacation, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2021's Most Fund States in America. WalletHub compared the 50 states across 26 key metrics. Here’s WalletHub’s Analyst, Jill Gonzalez.
“We looked at fun here as scientifically as possible. So we look at 26 indicators, of not just a fun time, but things that wouldn’t break the bank as well. So, everything from movie costs to accessibility of National Parks to casinos, really everything in between there.”
As it turns out, Gonzalez says the Great Lakes State of Michigan ranked in their top 20.
“Right at number 19. Actually, it was tied for number one for most of the marinas per capita, so this summer especially, it’s a good place to go spend some time.”
For fun in Michigan, the report show Michigan at number one for Golf Courses and Country Clubs per capita, 8th for a variety of arts, entertainment and recreation establishments and 13th for restaurants per capita.
