Faculty and staff at the University of Michigan rallied to show support for the school's black students after racist posters were found on campus.

The rally lasted about 15 minutes Tuesday in the center of the university's Ann Arbor campus. School President Mark Schlissel also attended the rally.

Provost Martha Pollack organized it and told the crowd that "hatred has no place" at Michigan.

The posters were found last week and included one that argued white women should not date black men.

The Detroit Free Press reports that the posters had an "alt-right" logo. Some white supremacists use the term "alt-right" in expressing their ideologies.

Authorities are trying to find the source of the posters. School officials are expected Thursday to announce a diversity plan for the university.
