Gov. Rick Snyder and lawmakers have enacted nearly 270 laws this year, topped by the approval of fuel tax and vehicle registration fee increases to improve deteriorating roads.
The Legislature allowed private adoption agencies receiving state contracts to decline to participate in referrals that go against their religious beliefs.
They ended incentives for movie makers and committed money to help Flint with a lead-in-the-water crisis after the city switched to a cheaper water supply while under state financial management.
Another new law changed how people obtain concealed handgun licenses.
Majority Republicans also sent Snyder bills to remove the straight-ticket voting option from ballots and prevent local governments from spending money to inform the public about ballot issues within two months of an election.
The Republican governor is still considering the measures.
