Isabel Lopez-Slattery is the owner of Dreams by Bella photography. Before COVID19, Garcia had plans to expand and rebrand her businesses but today she’s using the money from a loan she received to keep her business from closing.

One way Lopez-Slattery is innovating is by offering her photography services to local families from their doorsteps, or backyards while maintaining social distance guidelines.
“One thing with family photos is trying to get everybody scheduled, right? So, now that everybody is home I am going to start doing that and see how it turns out.”
Earlier this month, Lopez-Slattery received a substantial loan from Rende Progress Capital whose mission is helping businesses owned by people of color. RPC is a Community Development Financial Institution co-founded by Eric Foster.

Lopez-Slattery says like many other entrepreneurs she’s struggling, but she is thankful for the opportunity she has today to reinvent her business.
