Grand Rapids transit system, The Rapid, is scaling back its bus service beginning Tuesday, March 24th.
The Rapid is performing enhanced cleaning of all vehicles and at facilities. The effort includes minimizing exposure of COVID-19 to riders and drivers. It’s continuing service to local hospitals, pharmacies, grocery stores and what are determined as employment centers. While service continues, it’s being curtailed based on ridership patterns tracked over the past 10 days.
Service will continue seven days a week from 7am to 7pm for Routes 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8,9,10, 11, 13,15,16 and 28. These are operating on hourly service.
The Silverline will run on 30-minute service.
Route 50, the GVSU Connector, will operate on 50-minute service.
Route 85, GVSU’s Campus Circulator, will operate 25-minute service.
Dash will provide service Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 6pm.
DASH West will run on 15-minute service while Dash North will run a 20-minute service
