Authorities are reporting a rash of recent vehicle wheel and tire thefts in western Michigan.

The thefts have occurred over the past few weeks in Grand Rapids, Kentwood and Wyoming.

Police say it’s impacted a wide variety of makes and models, in both public and private parking areas. The majority of cases involve new vehicles at local dealership lots.

The Grand Rapids Combined Auto Theft Team is investigating the reports.

Anyone who sees anyone suspicious near a dealership or unattended vehicle is asked to contact their local police agency.
