Less than a week after Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden visited Michigan, former Second-Lady Jill Biden campaigned Tuesday in Grand Rapids before making her way to Battle Creek.
Both President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden campaigned in Michigan last week, and this week, both camps are trying to maintain a presence in the state—on Monday Donald Trump Junior and musician Kid Rock held a re-election rally in Harrison Township, and on Tuesday, Jill Biden campaigned in Grand Rapids, where she visited local non-profit Kids Food Basket.
Biden says, expect to see her and her husband in Michigan often, as the Presidential election is less than two months away.
“You know we are traveling to all the different states and I am sure we will be back here again,” Biden said. “Like I said, we are taking no vote for granted.”
The state of Michigan is seen as a key battleground state in the upcoming election and for reason…In 2016 Trump won the state over Hillary Clinton by just over 10,000 votes, the narrowest margin of victory for any state in the country, and the first time the state of Michigan had voted for a Republican since George H. Bush in 1988.
