Former Gov. Snyder: 'sloppy' media coverage is distorting the facts

After authorities confiscated Rick Snyder’s cell phone as part of the Flint Water Crisis investigation, the former Michigan Governor is firing back at the media for its coverage.

Snyder tweeted Tuesday that the news coverage surrounding search warrants being executed on his state-issued cellphone were “very sloppy and misleading.”

Snyder says, he had already surrendered his cellphone before leaving office last November, tweeting “I am dialing back the RPA a bit today.  The stories coming out about my state phone and computer are very sloppy and misleading.  I gave my phone and all that stuff to the AG's office before I left office.  Why the AG's office is executing a search warrant on itself I cannot say.”

Snyder was governor for eight years.

Meanwhile, the attorney general's office says warrants are being executed in the "pursuit of justice for the people of Flint."
