There’s a new Michigan marketing campaign aimed at bringing more workers into the state.

The ‘You Can in Michigan’ campaign features a combination of T-V… radio… and digital ads highlighting the state’s industries and recreational activities.
Officials say they plan on running it in ten states and Washington D-C. Michelle Grinnell—with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation—says there’s some outreach to international audiences too. But not with paid marketing.

“Right now we’re focused on the U.S. again, as we launch this starting point, and we’re going to continue and evolve but we want to make sure that we’re starting in a way that can move the needle where we’re at.”

Some policy groups have called for regulatory… tax… and labor policy changes to attract more people to Michigan.
