Silent Observer expands into Ionia County

Silent Observer

Starting today, Silent Observer will start taking anonymous tips for Ionia County. Before today, Silent Observer received tips from many areas around West Michigan, but specifically targeted unsolved crimes in Kent County.

Today’s news release says through collaboration with law enforcement agencies in Ionia County, Silent Observer will now be partnering with both Ionia County and Kent County in order to empower community members in both counties to report their information about crime anonymously.

Silent Observer says it’s thrilled to start this partnership.

Sheriff Noll from the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office says quote, “The Ionia County Law Enforcement Agencies are excited to team up with Silent Observer to provide a resource for citizens of Ionia County to report crimes and information anonymously. Our communities help in fighting crime is extremely important and necessary to continue providing a safe and healthy place for all to live and work.”

There are three ways to submit anonymous tips to Silent Observer. You can submit a tip from your smart phone through the Silent Observer App, (downloaded in the App Store); you can call (616) 774-2345; or you can submit a tip by visiting www.silentobserver.org.

If you have any information on an unsolved crime, location of a fugitive, or a crime that is being planned, contact Silent Observer with your information. Officials say you may be eligible for a cash reward if the information received in the tip leads to an arrest.
