Five candidates vying for two seats on Muskegon’s City Commission were reduced to four in Tuesday’s primary, as challenger John F. Page received the fewest votes and was eliminated. Challenger Rachel Gorman lead the field, garnering the most ballots cast, followed by incumbent Dan Sybenga, and challengers Rebecca St. Clair and Michael E. Hughes.
The four will square off in November.
Not seeking re-election Tuesday was City Commissioner Ken Johnson, who is challenging incumbent Mayor Steve Gawron in the general election.
