The month of March is getting started with a taste of Grand Rapids. Starting today, the Grand Rapids Downtown Market will host what they call, “Flight Fridays.”
“Certain restrictions have been lifted, so we do have limited, on sight dining and we actually opened up our Green House which is a beautiful place to dine in.”
Molly Connolly is the Marketing Manager for the Downtown Market. She says every Friday in the Month of March, starting today, the Grand Rapids Downtown Market will host “Flight Fridays”. They invite guests to get a taste of the Market Hall with as they put it, “flights, bites and Market delights.”
“Yeah, we’ve got a little bit of everything.”
Molly says Flight Fridays will offer everything from chocolate bon-bons, to ice cream all the way to wings, sausage and seafood.
“We’ve got six boneless wings from Ju Ju Bird, each with a different sauce. The one I’m most excited about is the seafood roll flight, so there’s three sliders, including a lobster, crab and shrimp roll.”
Molly adds that as COVID concerns still abound, this is a safe place for folks to get out and enjoy the scenery and the food.“
“We’re very careful here at the Market, our cleaning standards have been raised, and we’ve been very vigilant about that as well as mask wearing and social distancing so, while those things are in place, this is still a good place to get out and enjoy food, safe and vibrant location.”
Again, Flight Fridays will run all through March from 11 am until 7 pm.
