Whitmer, lawmakers announce legislation related to military families

wikipedia.com

Governor Gretchen Whitmer and state lawmakers announced bipartisan legislation today that they say will help military families find good jobs in Michigan and bring needed skills to the state.

Under the bipartisan legislation, service members, veterans and their dependents could be eligible for an occupational license in Michigan if they hold a valid one in another state.

The legislation would also cut occupational license fees.

Whitmer says the legislation would encourage military families to remain in Michigan and it would be good for business and the economy.
