New Nonstop Service Announced To Sarasota, Florida

Allegiant Airlines plane
Gerald R. Ford International Airport

It just got even easier for West Michigan travelers to get to Florida.  Allegiant airlines just announced they’ve added another route of service.  Starting in April, they will now fly to the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport.

And - the new route comes with some new deals.

“This service to Sarasota is going to be great for us. We see a lot of West Michiganders who have gravitated down there permanently or they have family down there, condos, whatever it might be.”

Just announced today, new, nonstop service from Grand Rapids to Sarasota, Florida.  Tara Hernandez, Marketing and Communications Director at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport says they’re excited about another route to get West Michigan to the Sunshine State.  She says Allegiant pays attention to their passenger information.

“When we send our press releases about record passenger numbers and we’re almost to 3 million passengers for this year. Even that demand to Florida, this is our 7th route with Allegiant but it’s our 9th city in Florida that we’re serving. And that says something, a lot of people say  why not somewhere new and different.  Why not Boston or L.A.?  Well, we see the demand and the airlines see the demand and they’re going to put planes and fly planes where they’re seeing that demand.”

The new route to Sarasota will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

Low fares are accompanying the new route.  You can find out more at allegiant.com.

Again, that new route starts in April of next year.
