According to the Grand Rapids Police Department’s twitter feed, the gunman is believed to be taking refuge inside a residence in the 900 block of Franklin St. Officers are currently using a megaphone to call him out.

Police say the owner of the Marathon station discovered the 50-year-old victim after arriving just after 6 a.m. There were no customers present in the store at the time of the shooting. Police are reviewing security footage.
