State Senate Victory for Roger Victory in the 30th District

In the race for State Senate in Michigan’s 30th district, State House Representative Roger Victory easily beat Democrat Jeanette Schipper and Libertarian Mary Buzuma. According to unofficial results, Victory took two-thirds of the overall vote, as Victory’s time is up in the Michigan House due to term limits. Speaking with Victory shortly after his race had been called, Victory says he is excited to begin a new chapter as State Senator.

“Quite a privilege and an honor to have an opportunity and looking forward to continuing the hard work that we did as a state representative and continuing on the same road, serving in an expanded role in Ottawa County,” Victory said.

Victory has been a State House Representative in the 88th District since 2014. A fourth generation Hudsonville area resident Victory says his campaign focused on “preserving Ottawa County values.”
