Metro Health – University of Michigan Health has a new President and CEO. Dr. Peter Hahn has been selected to lead Metro Health – University of Michigan Health.

Hahn is replacing retiring Michael Faas who has served as President and CEO for a quarter century.

Hahn describes himself as a physician CEO bringing a hands-on perspective to the position.

“Having a physician CEO really speaks to the progressive nature of Metro. What’s always been.”

The Metro Health Hospital Board unanimously selecting Hahn who says the affiliation with the University of Michigan is at an inflection point.

“And I’m very proud and honored to be given the opportunity to really take Metro into this next phase of the journey.”

Hahn was instrumental in forging the 2016 partnership with U of M Health expanding services.

“We have a very comprehensive, detailed strategic plan. We’re going to build relentlessly, but also prudently. Growing not just for the sake of growth, but what we can bring to the people and patients of West Michigan.” Hahn went on to say, “Expect further innovations, improvements and expansions.”
