A Kent County landlord has been charged with inappropriately touching women touring apartments as possible tenants.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Department says 43-year-old Frank Tjoelker faces two charges of criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree.

An investigation was opened after a female reported the Grand Rapids man to police earlier this month. It allegedly occurred at a meeting to fill out a rental application for an apartment in Byron Township.

Police say they were able to identify other women who reported similar experiences.

Tjoelker is currently in the Kent County Jail on a $110,000 bond.

The department asks anyone with information to contact KCSD Detective Hinds at 616-632-6140.
