Hutchinson officially opens North American Innovation Center with Governor visit

A 160-year old international company officially opened it’s a state-of-the-art innovation center in Grand Rapids

Hutchinson’s world headquarters is located just outside Paris, France. Its first location in the United States is Grand Rapids. The automotive, aerospace and defense manufacturer employs 300 people at its 30-acre campus at 460 Fuller Avenue. This is where Hutchinson has opened its first North American Innovation Center.

On hand for the grand opening of the Innovation Center also known as the 616 Fab House were Governor Rick Snyder, Grand Rapids Mayor Roselyn Bliss, Hutchinson North America President & CEO Cedric Duclos and The Right Place president Birgit Klohs.

Duclos explains the Innovation Center preserves the history of the old storage warehouse; its bricks and wood floors while, while creating a modern space for brainstorming including robotics and touch screen technology.

The concept reinforces partnering with innovative customers.
